Female Family Power

Conny Hörl & Katja Ruhnke

About us

Munich-born Conny Hörl and Katja Ruhnke are a perfect team not only as business partners but also as siblings.

While Conny has moved to neighboring Austria, Katja manages the fortunes of the family business in Munich. Both share a passion for new projects and a love of entrepreneurship.

As female investors, they are still in the minority, but they see this fact as a strength rather than a disadvantage. They are convinced that women will play a much more significant role as investors in the future.

Conny Hörl

Entrepreneur with passion

Conny Hörl has been running a group of companies in the health, fitness and wellness sector in Salzburg together with her husband for over 20 years. Since 2019, she and her sister Katja have been on the lookout for interesting start-ups in Bavaria and Austria as investors, thus reconnecting with their Bavarian roots.

That's me:

"After studying business administration at the LMU in Munich, I quickly realized that I was an entrepreneur at heart. I first developed smaller real estate projects before I found my center of life in Salzburg in 1998, where I fell in love with a completely different field of business: fitness, nutrition, beauty. Our group of companies includes 11 fitness businesses in Austria, several companies in the field of physiotherapy, nutrition and cosmetics and various investments in Germany. In 2019, my path led me partly back to Bavaria, where I am looking for interesting investments together with my sister. The last 20 years have shown me how meaningful it is to help people lead a better, healthier and happier life. That's why I like to support projects that have a similar mission."

Katja Ruhnke

Business Angel through and through

Katja Ruhnke is the managing director of CK Venture Capital GmbH and has thus taken over the operational part of the company. In addition to her commitment as an investor, the trained musical performer and mother of two children works in the family business in Unterschleissheim near Munich.

That's me:

Katja Ruhnke grew up as the child of a Munich business family. As a trained musical performer and studied cultural management, she was active on and backstage for 10 years. Entrepreneurship caught up with her early on in the cultural sector as well; with her own theater production company, she brought Shakespeare plays to the stage in the form of theater tours. Eventually, her path led her back to Munich to the family business. In search of new business areas, she was infected with the idea of start-up financing in the summer of 2019 and founded CK Venture Capital GmbH together with her sister. Through the investment vehicle, they invest as business angels primarily in impact startups. Meanwhile, 14 startup companies are part of their portfolio. In the fall of 2021, she published her first book, "Female Money- How Female Investors Transform the Startup World", and can also be seen as a keynote speaker and panelist at various events. She sees it as her mission to bring forward the development of new ideas and visions and to provide for more diversity in the Eco- Systems. Her mission for CK Workspace is to shape the connection between old and new economy and the working worlds of tomorrow.

Philipp Rupprecht

CK WORKSPACE - Operations Manager

Philipp Rupprecht is Operations Manager of the CK Workspace and thus assumes the
responsibility for the day-to-day business.

That's me:

In addition to his involvement in various CoWorking associations, the trained hotel manager is a true service professional due to his long 5-star hotel experience in terms of customer satisfaction.

Philip Rupprecht grew up as a child of a Munich family. As a trained
hotel manager and studied hotel business management, he worked for 11 years in hotels in Germany and abroad. He found his enthusiasm early for the operational area at the reception/concierge, because here no day is like the other. In addition to his job, he is an avid mountain biker, golfer and is also involved in the CoWorking Association
on a voluntary basis.

In November 2018, he became aware of the CoWorking industry. In 2019, he took over the establishment and development of the CoWorking Space "Timespaces".

Since 2021, he has accompanied Conny Hörl and Katja Ruhnke in setting up the CK Workspace.

He is firmly convinced that the working world of tomorrow must change and will
and CoWorking Space is an integral part of the working world of tomorrow. All the more he is looking forward to the development and orientation of the CK Workspace.
